Flash: The Homeless Donkey Who Taught Me About Life, Faith and Second Chances by Rachel Anne Ridge

Flash: The Homeless Donkey Who Taught Me about Life, Faith, and Second Chances
Flash: The Homeless Donkey Who Taught Me About Life, Faith and Second Chances by Rachel Anne Ridge

As I began this book, I had no idea what to expect. I am not so much of an animal lover that I want a book to be entirely about the spiritual side of a donkey! I also wasn't looking forward to a book full of an owner's praises concerning her prize pet.

However, all my pre-conceived notions were to fade as I read simply the first two chapters of this endearing book. Partly an autobiography of Rachel's life, party a biography of a donkey's life, and partly a devotional, this book is sure to not only delight you but change your day if not more than just your day!
I was impressed by the spiritual depth cleverly tied-in to lessons learnt from a simple donkey. Did I say clever? But indeed; the lessons were shown to the author Rachel Anne by our all-knowing, wise and loving Father- God! And He chose to teach her life lessons through this sweet (and sometimes stubborn) creature of His- Flash the donkey!

The author is an excellent writer, making my reading of this book most pleasurable. I laughed, I was touched, I was convicted and I was inspired to change my life around as well.
 I highly recommend this book!
I received a complimentary copy of this book from the publisher in exchange for my honest review.

Bible Dominoes
by Juliet David; Illustrated by Jo Parr

These fun and cheerful-toned Bible dominoes are the perfect plaything for young children! Specifically for kids aged three to seven years, this game will delight small minds and hearts. The dominoes are large, perfect for tiny hands to grasp and the graphics are colorful and appealing to young minds.
Produced by Candle Books, this game is new and I'm sure will quickly become popular. The game pieces (dominoes) are constructed of sturdy cardboard and will be able to withstand time after time of enthusiastic play.

There are 28 dominoes, each measuring 3 inches by 6 inches. The rules are basic domino game rules except of course this game features pictures as well as numbers. Some of the pictures included are well-known and loved Bible characters which will encourage your child to talk about Bible stories.

I received this game from the publisher in exchange for my honest opinion.

This domino game helps children to learn about the Bible and Jesus while playing! It also encourages communication, sharing, counting, and matching skills. The pieces are large and colorful, so they re easy to pick up, and the pictures are clear. The set includes 28 dominoes with a mixture of Bible story characters, numbers, and animals to match, as well as instructions and a story booklet explaining the stories featured on the cards. A useful resource for home, school, or Sunday school.
