  I was intrigued from the first moment I heard of this newly-published book by Rhonda Stoppe. An entire book of not only true, real-life but also faith-filled romance stories? Definitely yes! Like I just said, the quality of this book doesn't just lie in the stories but in the reoccurring theme of God's grace and purpose weaving each story together. The author of this book has skillfully told each couple's love story with the point of pointing it  back to God. As I read each account, I was encouraged in many ways. Every story is different, and not all are tidy and perfect. As a matter of fact, just as in real life, many of the stories were messy and unexpected. But it is fascinating to read how God made things work together for His glory. There is something in this book for everyone in every season of life, whether married or single. The writing style is not phenomenal however I was grateful for the content and am glad I read this book!

   As I began this book, I had no idea what to expect. I am not so much of an animal lover that I want a book to be entirely about the spiritual side of a donkey! I also wasn't looking forward to a book full of an owner's praises concerning her prize pet.

However, all my pre-conceived notions were to fade as I read simply the first two chapters of this endearing book. Partly an autobiography of Rachel's life, party a biography of a donkey's life, and partly a devotional, this book is sure to not only delight you but change your day if not more than just your day!
I was impressed by the spiritual depth cleverly tied-in to lessons learnt from a simple donkey. Did I say clever? But indeed; the lessons were shown to the author Rachel Anne by our all-knowing, wise and loving Father- God! And He chose to teach her life lessons through this sweet (and sometimes stubborn) creature of His- Flash the donkey!

  The author is an excellent writer, making my reading of this book most pleasurable. I laughed, I was touched, I was convicted and I was inspired to change my life around as well.
 I highly recommend this book!

Imagine my excitement when I discovered a new book devoted to that most interesting topic, the Siege of Bastogne!
This new hardback by Jerome Corsi is an in-depth picture of the entire situation. Although full of details, this book is not difficult to understand. It is perfect for all interested readers, from amateur history buffs to the history professor himself!
Although I haven't read any other books on this topic, I feel that I can honestly say, this book has everything you need to know about the siege of Bastogne! I learnt so much as I read through the many chapters. I especially appreciated how this book focused on the faith of the fighting Americans during the battle. Not many books about the battles will do this, yet it is so crucial. I believe some of the best soldiers were those who had a spiritual reason to fight. And some of the bravest had to be those who put their trust in God!
