''The Creation'' by Janice D. Green, is a retelling of the biblical creation account, from before God created light to the moment when Adam and Eve were sent out of the garden of Eden.
The author is careful in her retelling of the Scripture to keep it God-glorifying and thoughtful. The only problem I encountered in the book was on page 8, where the author says that man was the creature closest to God's image....instead of saying that man is the ONLY creature made in God's image! But I'm sure Janice Green meant no wrong, since the afterword explains very strongly what is wrong with evolution.
Uniquely, this eleven-page, hard-back picture book is illustrated with photos of the author's masterpiece quilt creation depicting the account of the Creation! The quilt square's bright yet realistic colors appeal not only to the child, but also to the reader. I would say this book is ideal for children under 5 years of age! Enjoy.
